The next Catholic-Orthodox Ecumenical Gathering will take place at the Cathedral of Christ the King on Tuesday, May 20th at 7:00PM. The event will commemorate the 50th anniversary of the meeting of Pope Paul VI and Patriarch Athenogras I in Jerusalem and the present state of Catholic-Orthodox relations in light of that meeting. A reception will follow in Kenny Hall. His Excellency, Wilton Gregory, Catholic Archbishop of Atlanta and His Eminence Alexios, Metropolitan of the Greek Orthodox Metropolis of Atlanta will officiate. The keynote speaker will be Fr. Ronald Roberson, C.S.P. who serves as the Associate Director of the Secretariat for Ecumenical and Interreligious Affairs at the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops, in Washington D.C.
